Currently technology exists for continuous, non-invasive, insertable (not breaking any skin), blood pressure monitoring. At the same time micro-vascular health and whole body inflammatory response can be monitored continuously. The challenge is for the integration of these technologies into a simple device so we can begin to produce long term data on genetic and environmental influences on outcomes.
Blood donors (especially young donors) in general represent healthy populations. Longitudinal follow-up of frequent and long term blood donors can be useful to establish data and sample sources for the study of wellness, instead of disease (especially for blood diseases). Not only it can be used as healthy controls, it can also be used to predict the wellness factors such as genetic variation, life style, exercise patterns, ...more »
Predictive Health employs the principle that using modern health testing and predictive analytics will better define true health (not just absence of disease) and, in combination with large-scale data analytics, will facilitate predicting deviations from the healthy trajectory earlier than traditional disease diagnosis, thus allowing more effective and less costly interventions to maintain health. Predictive Health educates ...more »
